KindPeoples

Role: Graphic Designer

KindPeoples is Santa Cruz County’s largest cannabis retailer, often voted Best Dispensary in the county. As a designer on the close-knit marketing team, I collaborated with the Marketing Director, Copywriter, Visual Design Manager, and Photographer to bring the brand to life through thoughtful design. I managed our busy advertising schedule across 20+ local and neighboring county publications each week, creating campaign designs that spanned print and digital, from banner ads and billboards to in-store menus and magazine ads. I maintained the company website in Squarespace and later led the redesign and transition to WordPress, working closely with a web developer to create a refreshed, user-friendly experience.

Print Advertising

420 Campaign

The week surrounding April 20th is the biggest sales and celebration period in the cannabis industry. I led the design for our 420 campaign, developing a creative direction that honored the plant and captured the excitement of the holiday.

Cannabis Wellness Campaign

KindPeoples partnered with local yoga studio Hot Source to promote cannabis as part of a holistic wellness lifestyle. I led the creative direction and design, producing all marketing materials to engage our health-conscious community and shift perceptions of cannabis culture.

Additional Work

From print ads for a 4th of July sale to banner ads for preroll deals, graphics for Marina Caregivers (a store KindPeoples acquired during my time there), website assets, and more — I developed a wide range of print and digital designs for the brand. Each piece reflected KindPeoples’ bright, fun, and community-driven identity, inspired by the laid-back, active, outdoorsy lifestyle of Santa Cruz locals.
